Come over here to SF Bay Area. We have several Filipino restaurants here.
Does this look "fobby" to you?
http://www.maxssf.com/You know why there aren't as much Filipino restaurants in major cities? It's because most Filipinos live in the suburbs so the restaurants are mostly in those areas.
QUOTE
Yet unlike smaller Asian immigrant groups, such as Thai or Vietnamese, Filipinos have yet to make their mark on the Bay Area restaurant scene. Though many new Filipino restaurants have opened in the past decade or two, they have followed the immigrants into the suburbs. From 1990 to 2000, San Francisco experienced only a 7.4 percent growth in its Filipino population, whereas Daly City saw a 39.9 percent rise, and South San Francisco a 65.8 percent increase.
That means the best Filipino restaurants are hidden away in strip malls south of San Francisco, off the radar screen of most non-Filipinos.
