What do you think of the Indian Street Fighter character named Dhalsim?
I used to think of him as nothing but a caricture, but lately Capcom has been improving his image/backstory to make him seem more like an actual indepth chracater. To add to that, he's always been one of the best and most popular characters to use when fighting.
Darun Mister is also a good Indian character.....

I looked him up on wikipedia. He character is listed as a pacifist.

A bit of a stereotype. But his character seems pretty cool. I don't play video games. So all I can do is read up.

Dhalsim's a legend. I still maintain he was by far the best character in the original SF2, but since then has been made weaker to balance out with the other characters.

no offense but dalshim sucked balls. He was slow and totally lame lol. His only move that i liked was when he jumps and does the spinning thing.

nah way, he was slow (very slow) but his reach totally made up for it originally. If you knew how to use him then he was pretty much untouchable.
Actually, my favourite character was always Ken (and Ryu who was the same), but I found the original SF2 too easy with Dhalsim in the end.

Who is Darun Mister?
I remember when I was little and playing Street Fighter 2, I was terrified when facing Dhalsim because of how he'd reach so far with his streching legs and arms and using his Yoga fire and flame. Didn't know how to dodge them so I always thought of him as the best character next to Bison.

i remember one time i did a 32-hit with his yoga-flame super move

He's the Indian equivalent of Zangief......

Darun Mister is based on a real Indian wrestler, The Great Gama, who was the world heavyweight wrestling champion in 1910. The Great Gama is also a character in Shadow Hearts: Covenant.
Dhalsim was a bit overpowered in Street Fighter II with his long reach and Yoga fire and flame moves but it's good they balanced it in later games.

i wish they would kill him off, no one ever picks dhalsim in the newer SF games. either kill him off or add some better moves.
