Was wondering if you thought indian people are too conservative. In my opinion what builds a strong and stable nation is a stable family structure with good value system. What do you think?

That all depends on who's standards you go by. To the West, maybe. But who are they to judge? To the middle east were to liberal. But then who are they to judge either.Every society has their way of life, and social standard. No other society has a right to judge them or tell them how to live. That would be imperalism. icon_confused.gif

I think india has a good balance and thats why its going forward after years in the dulldrums. You gotta thank the education system in india for producing the millions of graduates to satisfy bpo companies etc.

Sometimes those systems only help make people look "Good" on the outside, but they just keep anything "bad" hidden on the inside.

At my internship at this South Asian shelter/psychiatric place, most of the clients came from families with "Good, stable" reputations, but they were hiding their alcoholism problems and what not behind closed doors. icon_neutral.gif

It depends on the region of Asia. Generally, it seems the most conservative Asian countries are in West Asia, and the least conservative Asian countries are in East Asia (particularly Japan), while South, Southeast and Central Asia are somewhere in-between.
