How many of you have ever looked up your home city in India on Google Earth?

Its actually quite interesting to see such a distant place from above. You learn about all sorts of things you didn't know existed...... embarassedlaugh.gif

Hey this isn't the exact same thing. But I figured I'd bring it up. I found this demo site called Yahoo Hacks, it shows a list of demos. One is map demo.

Yep, Google Earth is pretty freakin' awesome!
I spend hours on that thing.

But they need to improve their imagery. Right now they only have high resolution imagery for urban areas A lot of rural areas around the world are very low resolution. With that resolution, you wouldn't be able to zoom in on your house if you lived in a rural village.
