When I was a kid in the Philippines, my neighbours let their dogs outside of the house without much supervision. The neighbour's dog even chased me once and I was crying while running home. That is probably why Philippines is near the top of rabies deaths in the world.

hahaha so true, well people there dont seem to care that much if someone got munched by their dogs. I remember gettin chased atleast 35 times by mean dogs and sometimes the owner was just there watchin me run the fu-k out cryin and shouting. even if im on a bike too, they run fast...

The only thing that creeps me out are the skinny skinny starving messed up cats... my little cousins always chase and hit them

Well according to my personal experiences i got bitten so many times by street dogs that i couldnt remember how many times. Anyway, only the dogs that have just given birth are usually the agressive ones, theyre just trying to protect their young and they tend not to have rabies in them anymore but the puppies or young dogs , you should be worried about. I remember having 4 shots of anti-rabies when i was 9 .sakit lolz

When stray dogs come near my house, I let my own dogs come out. And then they fight lol. My dogs always win, go asong kalye!

from my past experiences i also remmber that i was chased by the askals multiple times. theyre a mess in the philippines, they crap everywhere on the street and pee wherever they feel like it. i remmber steppin on alot of them in our subdivision.

i also remmber ther viciousness. they bark loud and their saliva drippin from their mouths. theres like a gang of them from the neighboring street and they always bang each other while the other dogs juz watch and enjoy! LOL

whenever i come home in a tricycle and see all of them in a group, i used to pull out my pellet gun and shoot at them like a drive by!!

I traveled to many parts of the world but only been bit once by a german shepherd in the butt while riding my bike in the philippines. My grandpa was attacked by a pack of guard dogs owned by puti before independence. he had to kill them with his bolo. He had scars on his legs but still liked dogs and got one for my dad when he was a kid.

thats very rare for a german shepherd to become an askal! usually theyre very expensive pets.

Dogs in the philippines are a dangerous species. I always gave my neighbor a warning to keep the dogs inside the house, when children passing by in going to school. The dogs like to hunt and to scare them. He didn´t listen to me and last week one of the children was bitten from one of his dogs.
I brought the kid to the next doctor for treatment. In the same night I treated the dogs. Now we have four dogs less in our street and a little more savety.

Regardless of some biting incidents, dogs are still man's best friend. Yes some dogs do bite but most don't unless being provoked. Dogs which are often tied up and and not allowed to wander around will get excited once they get the opportunity to get out from the confinement and their excitement is sometimes taken as agressiveness by the public like you and I, under this situation most dogs don't bite. However, it is the responsibility of dogs owner to supervise their dogs when walking them out, not only from biting the others but also to clean up their poops ( which not many are doing now ). If you are bitten by a dog, don't take any chance go get the rabies vacinnation, it is not that expensive.

Stray dogs should be rounded up, sent to the gods shelters, sick dogs being treated and then put them up for adoption. Really sick dogs can be put down accordingly ( in a decent way ). Stray dogs have been a problem in most developing countries but very funny, most people complain about stray dogs but very few about stray cats. Strays either dogs or cats are a nuisance to us.

Stray cats don't chase people. The worst thing they could do is give you a fu-king cat massage with their claws and that only happens when you actually try to grab the, They usually try stay out of the way.

I got mauled by a dog once by a neighbor. The dog is usually tied up but our neighbor was giving it a bath and it got away and went straight after me. Except for puppies, every time i hear a dog barks, i am jumpy.
