This incident has got nothing to do with Chinese or race. The cops were simply ill-disciplined and drunk. The hotel owner could've been natives, Chinese, Japanese, white, black, Eskimo, or some guy from Mars, they would've still beaten him up.

I have to disagree with you.

If the hotel owner is a bad big black or a cheesy slimy whatever, this could not have happen or at the lease could be avoided.

Chinese have to get rid their "easy target" trademarks anywhere or we can just take it like we have no other choice; hide our tails and run overseas. (I did)

I agree with Purnomor, there is nothing to suggest that in this case the attack was race based.
Having said that the police have to be held more accountable then the general public. They are in a position of power, and if that power is abused they should be subject to the full weight of the law.
In the video it looks like the police officer is threathening the victim with a gun. What is the law regarding the use of firearms in Indonesia? Personally I feel being drunk is no excuse.

How do you know if the decision was made before they got drunk.

We mean the same thing and Chinese in Indonesia is sate-kambing with or without peanut sauce.
